The U.S. Supreme Court set its January lineup for oral arguments, and labor relations are high on the agenda.
Seven cases are on the Supreme Court’s calendar for the January session, including two that will be of high priority to business communities:
Ohio Adjutant General’s Department v. Federal Labor Relations Authoritywill be heard on Jan. 9. The case concerns whether the Federal Labor Relations Authority can regulate state national guard labor practices.
Glacier Northwest, Inc. v. International Brotherhood of Teamsters will be heard on Jan. 10 to determine whether federal labor laws take precedence over a state-court lawsuit against a union for intentionally destroying an employer’s property amid a property dispute.
