All eyes on AI at the Oklahoma Prosperity Summit

The State Chamber Research Foundation partnered with the Oklahoma Technology Alliance to host its 2nd Annual Prosperity Summit at the Oklahoma History Center. This year’s Summit focused on an in-depth look at AI—past, present, and future—and how it’s transforming business, education, and the way Oklahoma’s schools and universities are preparing the workforce of tomorrow. Experts from across the state discussed how Oklahoma can stay ahead of the curve to grow our economy.

Kristin Peck, State Chamber Research Foundation President, welcomed the attendees that included business leaders, educators, innovators, and policymakers — all united by one shared goal: building a stronger, smarter, and more prosperous Oklahoma. Kristin stated, “AI and emerging technologies are transforming every industry, from manufacturing and energy to healthcare and education. But here in Oklahoma, we see more than disruption — we see possibility. We see new pathways for growth, new skills for our workforce, and new ways to compete and thrive on a national scale. The question isn’t whether technology will shape our future — it’s how we will shape it to work for us.”

Hart Brown, CEO of Future Point of View (FPOV), gave a dynamic Keynote Address on strategies to unlock business potential as well as challenges with AI adoption.

The day also included AI demonstrations, an in-depth look at the state of Oklahoma’s technology industry, and an Education and Workforce Panel that discussed Oklahoma’s Opportunity for Advancement.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship is a fundamental principal of the long-term strategic initiative that The State Chamber of Oklahoma and SCRF will be officially launching at the State of Business Forum on November 17.

Through this strategic initiative,SCRF has found that while Oklahoma is excelling in several areas, there are also challenges that must be addressed.  One reason SCRF wanted to focus on this year’s topic was that according to the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation, Oklahoma ranks 42nd in the nation for overall innovation, and 50th in global investment and global industries.
